FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: What’s AVP?
A: AVP (The Academical Village People) is one of UVA’s all-male a cappella groups, founded in 1993. Combining top-class singing and bumping vocal percussion with rock-star performance technique and endless enthusiasm, this is not your grandfather’s a cappella group. Whether we’re stage diving, thunder-clapping, showing off our fly dance moves, or really just flailing around, you can be sure of one thing: we’re having a whole heck of a lot of fun, and we hope you are, too.
Q: What will you be singing?
A: I personally will be singing arbitrary syllables in most songs and a very well hidden illuminati message in one song (listen carefully). Our fourth years will be singing songs by artists such as Kanye West, Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeran, Kings of Leon, Chance the Rapper, and more!

Q: What’s Alderman Sing?
A: We’ll be doing this (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singing) at this (https://www.library.virginia.edu/blog/libraries/alderman/).
Q: Will this help me get into Comm school?
A: Yes. Probably. Maybe. Just do your best, your major doesn’t define you. Less than 40% of UVA students end up pursuing a career directly related to their major.**
